Hi! My name is Annette. I am passionate about building strong and healthy relationships between humans and their dogs. I am dedicated to understanding each dog's unique needs and behaviors, providing effective training solutions tailored to individual personalities and temperaments. I believe in creating a harmonious environment where dogs and their owners can thrive together.
Bird Hunters!
If you have a bird hunter, we specialize in starting pointers and retrievers for safe and successful bird hunting. Our training programs are tailored to develop the skills and instincts necessary for a rewarding hunting experience.
Here at Human, Speak Dog we can help your young pointer or retriever build a foundation in obedience, recall, bird drive, steadiness, and retrieve. Relationship and communication between handler and dog plays a huge part in a successful and safe bird hunt.
Getting Started
The tools that you need that will allow you and your dog to be most successful include: one open mind, two open ears, and a willingness to practice! Practice involves persistence AND consistency. Unfortunately this is where many humans fall short… Most dogs have no idea how to exist in the human world, and it is up to us to teach them. Much like young children, they need structure and boundaries and CLEAR expectations relayed by their humans. And the most important thing is that these boundaries and expectations are implemented and communicated to the dog in a way that the dog understands. It is also important that you have REALISTIC expectations for the individual dog in front of you. My programs focus on building the individual relationship that you would like to have with your dog.
Initial Consultation
Generally done over the phone at no charge.
Popular behavioral problems that Annette can help you with include (but are not limited to): puppy development and potty training, general manners, pulling on leash, jumping, barking and reactivity, fear aggression, anxiety (general, situational, separation, etc)
Meet 'n' Greet $50
This is a meeting to connect and go over training options in person and to talk about your goals as a dog owner. Annette gets to meet your dog. What KIND of relationship do you want to have with your dog? Obedience? Off leash freedom? Does your dog want to work and have a job? What are your goals for your dog? Discuss lessons, packages, and payment options.
Private Training sessions
$105 per session
(approx. 1 hour)
These are for simple-solution dog issues. OR if you do not want to purchase a package and prefer to pay for each individual lesson.
